Lawrence L. Lavers
HARRISON - Lawrence L. Lavers, 94, of Harrison and formally of Fryeburg, died Monday, July 23rd at the Hospice House of Androscoggin.
He was born in Port Saunders, New Foundland a son of William and Sophie Lavers. Lawrence was a para-trooper in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed as a machinist for W. Fields and Sons in Watertown, MA for about 30 years. He was a former member of the Kiwanis Club and the American Leagion.
He was predeceased by his wife, Irene.
He is survived by one son, Earle W. Lavers of Fryeburg, three daughters, Lauren L. Slate and her husband Ron of Temecula, CA; Ellen I. Canterbury and her husband Mike of Reading, MA; and Joan M. Satalano and her husband Gary of Harrison, ME; eleven grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am., Friday, July 27 at Wood Funeral Home, 9 Warren Street, Fryeburg, ME. followed with a burial at Our Lady of the Mountains Cemetery, North Conway, NH.
